There are rumors swirling that Taylor Swift is the new proud owner of a duplex penthouse in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood in Lower Manhattan. According to the Real Estalker blog, Swift bought the home for around $20 million from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. The penthouse's two units boast 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, with more than 8,000 square feet of space combined. The duplex penthouse also features 12-foot beam ceilings, a fireplace, a wet bar and a grand double-height stair hall. This news comes as Taylor has been spending a lot of time in The Big Apple lately.  If she did indeed purchase this Tribeca penthouse, she adds to her already impressive collection of real estate, which includes homes in Nashville, Beverly Hills, and Rhode Island.

Brantley Gilbert hopes the title of his new album, Just As I Am, reflects the music that he's put on it. Brantley co-wrote all of the tracks that appear on the new record, which is an approach he says keeps his music honest. Gilbert shares, "Don't get me wrong, this is no disrespect to those who don't write their own songs…but having a hand in it makes it mine and my story." Just As I Am will hit store shelves on May 20, and features the hit lead single "Bottoms Up."

Sara Evans is one of the country artists who are teaming up with The Doobie Brothers on their new duets album. The album will feature all-new recordings of some of country's top stars performing with The Doobie Brothers on their biggest hits. Sara sings the song "What a Fool Believes" on the new record, and she says making the decision to be a part of this project was a no brainer. The band's Michael McDonald sings lead vocals on the song Sara picked, and the two of them have actually worked together before. Sara recently took the stage with The Doobie Brothers during CRS week at Sony Music Nashville's Annual Boat Show. (Photo Credit: www.doobiebros.com)

I doubt most people are speaking LITERALLY when they tell an artist their music saved their life.  But a guy approached CRAIG MORGAN at an autograph signing and told him an incredible story of how his music really DID.  The guy said he was driving in Iraq, listening to Craig's music, when a song started to skip.  So he bent down to restart the CD . . . and at that EXACT moment a sniper round passed through the seat where his head had been. The second time was in Afghanistan when he was hit by an IED.  He was seriously injured and went into a coma.  But when he woke up, Craig's song "This Ain't Nothin" was playing.

Brantley Gilbert never backs down from a good challenge. H was recently dared by two of his close friends to take the Polar Bear Challenge, and he posted a video on You Tube of him taking the plunge. The video starts with Gilbert sitting his tour bus talking about the challenge, saying that he only has 24 hours to complete it. Brantley said in the video, "We're right outside of downtown Nashville. I'm about to jump in the Cumberland River which is still freezing cold." Brantley then walks towards the river and makes his way to a dock that's on the water. But before he jumps in the frigid waters, he posed his own challenge to all of his fans, then does a backflip off the side of the dock into the river. He then briskly swims back to the dock, pulls himself out of the water and blurts out an expletive. Check out the video:
