Lee Brice is currently on the road with Luke Bryan on his "That's My Kind of Night Tour," and even though Lee is one of the opening acts on the tour, he doesn't feel like he's being outshined by Luke. Lee says that Luke's unassuming nature and equitable approach to his tour really shows the singer's true character. He says Luke’s humble, he's selfless, and he's there for the party. And Luke's fair and balanced attitude towards his tour is something Lee hopes to implement on his future tours.

After the nominees were announced for the ACMs yesterdayMiranda Lambert could hardly believe that she had received 7 nods, including her third for Entertainer of the Year. Miranda says every single time she sees her name on any ballot she still gets butterflies and can't believe sometimes that this is her life. Miranda earned ACM Entertainer of the Year nominations in 2011 and 2013, and she is the only female besides Taylor Swift who is up for the award this year. Her other nominations at this year's show include Female Vocalist of the Year, Single, Song and Video of the Year for her chart topping song "Mama's Broken Heart" and two awards in the Vocal Event of the Year category which includes the number one duet with Keith Urban, "We Were Us," as well as her collaborative vocals on Blake Shelton's hit song, "Boys 'Round Here." The 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will air live from Las Vegas on April 6 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.

And don’t forget!  This year, the fans will again help select the winner of both the Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year categories. Fan voting for Entertainer of the Year begins on March 24 and will close during the third hour of the show's live broadcast. First round fan voting for New Artist of the Year is now open at www.VoteACM.com and www.GACTV.com/ACM and will close on February 4.

They say that time can heal all wounds, but maybe a little music can help speed that recovery. After checking into a rehabilitation center recently to undergo treatment for his longtime battle with alcoholism, Trace Adkins has left that rehab facility to purchase a new guitar. The singer was snapped in a photo with one of the employees of Chafin Musicenter in Lake Worth, Florida over the weekend and the photo was posted on the business' Facebook page. But Trace's trip to the music store doesn't mean that he's completed his treatment; it's actually part of his therapy. His therapist encouraged him to continue writing songs to help him focus on positive things. Adkins entered the rehab facility two weeks ago after falling off the wagon while aboard the Country Cruising entertainment cruise in the Caribbean. During the cruise, Trace apparently got into a verbal argument with a Trace Adkins impersonator who was allegedly signing the singer's autograph.

Carrie Underwood makes sure that she's in tip-top shape when she takes the stage to perform. Carrie tells Vogue that she's pretty active onstage and those energetic performances require her to have a lot of stamina. Underwood does a steady routine of push-ups, squats, lunges, and pull-ups to maintain her onstage stamina, but she also works out to offset cheating on her diet every so often. To keep on track during her workout Underwood sees a personal trainer a couple of times a week, or she'll just hit the gym with her hockey player hubby Mike Fisher. (Photo Courtesy: www.self.com)

On January 11, some of country music's top acts gathered at the Ice House in Louisville to perform and help raise funds for the non-profit charity Kids Cancer Alliance. The event included performances by headliner Jake Owen, with special guests Frankie BallardJana Kramer, and others also taking the stage for the special cause. The event raised more than $200,000 for Kids Cancer Alliance and its mission to enhance the quality of life in children with cancer and their families by providing them with free support programs, financial aid and events. During the event, artists performed in an intimate acoustic setting, sharing their music in an "in the round" style.

At the suggestion of one of his constituents, Ohio state senator Jim Hughes recently introduced a bill to honor Rascal Flatts as the "official country music group" of Ohio. But the proposal to give the country trio this illustrious distinction did not sit well with all of Senator Hughes' fellow legislators. Some legislators believe that other notable country musicians from the state of Ohio deserve to be considered as well. Artists that have been suggested include Johnny Paycheck, Roy Rogers, Dwight Yoakam and Grandpa Jones. Ohio state senator Frank LaRose makes it clear that he has a great deal of respect for Rascal Flatts, but he also says, "It seems to be that naming (Rascal Flatts) as the official country acts of the state of Ohio does so perhaps to the exclusion of others that are worth considering."

For every download of "Invisible" on iTunes, Child Hunger Ends Here will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal to Feeding America.

As Kelly Clarkson prepares to embark on the journey of motherhood, she might be reassured to know that she's getting a mommy approval from fellow singer Martina McBride. McBride is a mother of three children, so it might be safe to assume that her insight on motherhood is very sound. Martina tells People that Kelly’s outgoing and direct that she thinks that will make her a fun mom.  Martina has also showed her admiration by bringing Kelly in to sing a duet on her new album Everlasting. Together, Martina and Kelly sing a cover of the song "In The Basement," made famous by the 1966 duet between Etta James and Sugar Pie DeSanto. Everlasting is Martina's 12th studio album and has a new release date of April 8 (moved back from March 4).

David Nail's current single "Whatever She's Got" topped the Billboard Country chart this week, giving the singer his second number one song. "Whatever She's Got" is the lead single from David's forthcoming third studio album, I'm a Fire, which will be released on March 4. Nail recently announced that he will be hitting the road this spring on headlining tour dates in support of the new album. Those tour dates will kick off on March 21 in Medina, Ohio. In addition his headlining tour dates this spring, David will also be hitting the road with Darius Rucker on his "True Believers Tour" and select dates with Lady Antebellum on their "Take Me Downtown Tour."

Frankie Ballard is steadily climbing up the chart with his current Top 15 single, "Helluva Life," and Frankie says he already knows how he will celebrate if the song goes number one. He tells Country Weekly that he wants to buy a full-on Manuel suit. The famous designer has created rhinestone suits for legendary acts like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, and Frankie just wants to own a piece of that history. And Frankie already knows how he wants to customize the one-of-a-kind suit if he does get one. He says, he wants it to be purple with a crocodile on the back and on the arms, full-on in rhinestones. And if he scores the suit, he plans to wear it to an awards show! (Photo courtesy: Country Weekly)

The initiative raised more than $250,000 for the shelters across the country, with the minimum donation to an individual shelter being $3000. Randy Houser has released the new music video for his current Top 20 single "Goodnight Kiss." The video was filmed at the historic Fontanel Mansion in Nashville and is the grand finale to a trilogy following the development of young love in couples from Houser's last two videos for "How Country Feels" and "Runnin' Outta Moonlight." The same actor and actress that depict the couple in the "Goodnight Kiss" video also starred in Randy's two previous videos. All three songs appear on Houser's latest album, How Country Feels, which was released in January of 2013. The video for "Goodnight Kiss" was released yesterday.

If you asked Dolly Parton which songs were playing on country radio right now, she might not be able to give you an answer. But that's not because she doesn't like the artists who are on the radio right now; she's just way too busy to keep up with what's being played. Dolly say she doesn’t listen to music for fun, she’s too busy writing her own song.  And when she does have a chance to put some tunes on, she sticks with the classics like George JonesOtis ReddingAlison Krauss and Emmylou Harris. Dolly’s music has been absent from the charts in recent years, and she'd like to make it back there. She says, "When I was younger, country music treated me like a sweet girlfriend. They wined me, they dined me, then they dumped (me) for younger women."

Kenny Chesney has filed a copyright lawsuit in federal court this week after a merchandising company used his name and trademarked logo without his permission. According to the Tennessean, a company called T&M Enterprises produced T-shirts and different items featuring Kenny's logo of a guitar leaning against a palm tree without the singer's consent. According to reports, Chesney informed T&M Enterprises to cease production of these items, and the two sides reached a settlement agreement in January of last year, which allowed the company to sell its remaining items. But the company allegedly continued to produce these items even after the agreement was made. The lawsuit is asking for unspecified damages to be paid and for the company and its designer to halt production of the merchandise.

The upcoming album will be released on March 25 and features his current Top 20 lead single "Drink to That All Night." Niemann says that the term High Noon has been in his mind since he was a kid growing up in Southwest Kansas. Jerrod lived in Dodge City, Kansas, where the old gun fighting days have such a historical value, where main street is named after Wyatt Earp. But instead of taking ten paces, turning and facing a rival gunslinger, Jerrod says he's confronting a different kind of adversary. He says his adversaries are party poopers, and he’s here to face them so the rest of us can have a good time. (Photo Courtesy: Sony Music)

Through her savvy social media skills, Taylor Swift has accumulated more than 30 million Twitter followers. But even with so many fans to keep in the loop about her daily happenings, Swift makes sure that she doesn't spend an excessive amount of time on her smartphone. Taylor tells Teen Vogue she only tweets once every couple weeks. And the reason Taylor doesn't take over the Twitterverse with updates every five seconds is simple. She says if she did, all you’d see is pictures of her watching TV with her cat.

Before he got his record deal, ERIC PASLAY made a name for himself as a songwriter.  A very successful songwriter.  We're talking Rascal FlattsBig & RichJake Owen, the Eli Young Band and Love and Theft, to literally name a few.  He's written so much music that he felt compelled to record some of it on his own.  He says, there have been signs that he’s not meant to sing all the songs he’s written, and thank goodness, because he admits he’s written about 750 in the last eight years.

From topping the chart with several hit singles to selling out stadium dates on his "Night Train Tour," Jason Aldean had a tremendously successful 2013. But during that year, Aldean also went through personal strife, filing for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Jessica. In 2014, Jason will continue his push and plans to release his sixth studio album later this year. And, looking ahead to that new album, he admits that his personal struggles from last year might show up in the music he puts out this year. While Jason isn't quite sure if his fans will be looking for his personal struggles to be reflected in this new album, one thing's for sure, he'll just continue to make the best record that he can.
