Garth Brooks has beaten his personal record for tickets sold in Atlanta. The record was previously set at the Omni, March 13th -17th, 1996, with 81,902 paid tickets. Garth has now surpassed that number and is still selling. Garth is now the only artist to ever sell seven consecutive shows at the Philips Arena. The previous record was held by Elvis Presley, with four shows.

Kenny Chesney played to over 40,000 fans on Saturday at his Flora-Bama show on the beach. Fans came as far away as Oregon, Ohio, South Carolina, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Arizona to hear Chesney play his only concert of 2014. Chesney's 32-song set lasted two and a half hours. Mixing old favorites with some new songs. Filmed by Shaun Silva for a TV special this fall, Kenny and band took the tailgate vibe of his shows and distilled it. Bikinis, shorts, tank tops, sunburns and ball caps, the dress code was casual and the mood was great. (Photo Credit: www.newstinder.com )

Brad Paisley has been leaking songs from his new album, Moonshine in the Trunk, via Twitter for the past couple of weeks and he took it to a new level as he made a trip to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida Saturday to launch a new song from a historic launch pad. Paisley stood on the surface of Launch Pad 39B, where a Saturn V rocket once launched three American astronauts to the moon, as he sent out a tweet to leak, "American Flag on the Moon." He tweeted, "I'm at @NASA's Apollo launch pad in FL! Leaking my new song, American Flag on the Moon." and included a link to the song.

Brad Paisley tells Billboard magazine this week that his upcoming album Moonshine In The Trunk, has a bit of everything on it and will hold its own against todays kind of country music. He says, "It'll fit in. It feels like modern honky tonk music to me. There's a lot of alcohol and a lot of talking about the weekend and a lot of celebrating what is right in life in spite of whatever is going wrong. That's kind of what honky tonk music always was. That will never die. That's who we are as a format. It's just new ways to say it." (Photo Content: www.billboard.com )

Luke Bryan welcomes Brantley Gilbert on the bill for his show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia Friday night, and fans at the concert are in for a special treat from the two Georgia boys. The Philadelphia show is just the latest stadium date on Luke's That's My Kind of Night tour. Though the show has some similarities to his regular arena shows, Luke tries to make the most of playing such large venues. Lee Brice and Cole Swindell are also on the bill for Luke's big show in Philadelphia.

Kenny Chesney is primed and ready to entertain his fans at the Flora-Bama Lounge on the Gulf Coast this Saturday. He hasn't been on stage with his band in almost a year, so Kenny plans to keep the show loose and just have fun with it all, and there will be no set list. While the Flora-Bama show is free, fans have to have wristbands to get into the show. Those passes were all claimed very quickly after becoming available online a few weeks back. Of note, show organizers are asking fans without wristbands to stay away from the Flora-Bama this weekend. The show will be taped for a TV special, so fans who can't make it can look forward to seeing highlights at a later date.

Even more country stars have poured ice-cold water on themselves as the challenge to raise awareness of ALS sweeps the nation. Florida Georgia Line got in on the act at their Wednesday night show in Missouri. Video of FGL taking the challenge was posted online Thursday morning, and they called out none other than Garth Brooks to accept the ice bucket challenge. Keith Urban took the challenge then called out Eric Church, Tim McGraw and John Mayer to douse themselves with water next. Justin Moore, Luke Bryan and Lee Brice are among the other stars dousing themselves with cold water this week.

Luke Bryan isn't the only country superstar to take the ALS ice bucket challenge this week as on Tuesday Blake Shelton took the challenge along with Carson Daly from the Hollywood set of NBC's The Voice. After dumping water on each other, Shelton challenged Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani and his buddy Adam Levine, who happened to be there and did the challenge right away, then challenging his friend actor Robert Downey Jr. to take the challenge. Since the challenge began just a few weeks ago, it has raised more than 2 million dollars for the national ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) Association. (Photo Credit: www.tasteofcountry.com )

The Third Annual Eric Church Band "Put a Club in My Hand" Golf Tournament was held August 4 at Gaylord Springs Golf Links. The event raised $112,864 for MusiCares, the charitable arm of The Recording Academy which provides a safety net of assistance for those in the music industry to help with medical, financial and personal emergencies. The funds for the donation were raised through 160 registered golfers, more than 45 generous partners and a silent auction featuring items from artists including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Easton Corbin, Florida Georgia Line, Colt Ford, Taylor Swift, and The Cadillac Three, as well as the Nashville Predators and multiple NFL, MLB, and NBA franchises.

Taylor Swift confirmed during a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday that she'll be performing at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on August 24. Swift was a promotion machine Wednesday night. In addition to making the VMA announcement, the 24-year-old singer also plugged her August 18 Yahoo! worldwide live stream event. Swift told Fallon, "There could be one announcement or there could be multiple announcements." It's most likely details about her brand-new album, or perhaps of the first single from that album. The live stream begins at 5 p.m. Eastern time.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's youngest daughter Audrey McGraw – who is just 12-yeard-old - may just be the next superstar in the family as a video has been circulating around the web of the youngest McGraw singing the Dixie Chicks' "Traveling Soldier" and this girl can sing. Many country stars tweeted about the death of beloved actor Robin Williams yesterday. Reba McEntire – who knew Williams - shared a memory of the actor on her Facebook page. It read as follows: My favorite memory of Robin Williams was from Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night. I was the em-cee at the benefit dinner/auction, trying to get everyone to take their seats so we could start the show but not having much success. Jim Carrey jumps up on his chair at the head table and says, "Hey!! Do you know who that is? That's Reba McEntire! Now sit down and shut up!" Robin at the other end of the head table, stands on his chair and says the same thing but in a foreign language! The crowd loved it, laughed and found their seats. I was speechless and in awe of these very talented wonderful men. I will miss Robin so much, as we all will. Thank God we have so many wonderful memories of him, his wit, talent, big heart and generosity. Love you Robin, Reba

Many Country Artists posted Tweets after hearing of Robin's death, including:
Rascal Flatts: We are completely awestruck by the death of @robinwilliams. He was a great man, comedian & a joy to be around. He will be truly missed. Taylor Swift will be sharing some news next week on August 18 as she teams up with Yahoo! For a world worldwide live stream at 5PM ET in New York City. No official word yet on what she'll say, but in 2012 in August she had a similar chat with fans and announced a brand new single from her then yet-to-be released Red album. It's a good chance the chat will be about new music.

After posting a snapshot of his now girlfriend, Aldean wrote, "So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing." Jason - who filed for divorce from wife Jessica Ussery in 2013 – not long after being photographed kissing Brittany.

Luke Bryan rocked his performance in Central Park Friday morning on Good Morning America's "Summer Concert Series" becoming the show's largest concert of the summer as fans began lining up at 2pm Thursday. #LukeBryanOnGMA trended #1 worldwide before and after the show. Taylor Swift likes to give her fans clues about her upcoming music and has done just that before the release and announcement of her last few albums. Well, it appears to be that time again as on Monday, Swift uploaded a very short video to Instagram along with the message, "So, here's your first clue..." The video shows Taylor pushing an elevator button reading '18' six times. So 18 is the magic number for details to come on Swift's very own timeline.

Keith Urban welcomed his fellow American Idol judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr., to his hometown of Nashville Sunday and Monday to tape the show's Music City audition round. Though they had little free time, Keith was full of suggestions about which Nashville hotspots Jennifer and Harry might want to check out. His recommendations included Robert's Western World on Lower Broadway and Pinewood Social, a restaurant with a bowling alley and private karaoke rooms. Keith also wanted them to check out the Country Music Hall of Fame, but he was mostly thankful the weather was pretty while his pals were in town. Highlights from the Nashville auditions will be shown on the next season of American Idol, premiering next year.

Brad Paisley was so moved by the story of the North Carolina doctor with Ebola after the doctor gave a serum treatment to his friend that he has dedicated a song from his upcoming Moonshine In The Trunk album to him. The song is called "Me and Jesus."

Keith Urban has responded to all the problems, arrests and even a reported rape that occurred during his concert last week in the Boston area. The Mansfield concert on July 26 saw the hospitalization and arrest of many concert-goers for alcohol-related issues. Later, news broke that an 18-year-old man was charged with raping a 17-year-old girl on the lawn of the Xfinity Center. Urban wrote on his website over the weekend, "My team and I were horrified to learn of the events reported in Boston this past weekend and our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected. This type of behavior stands in stark contrast to the spirit of our shows."
