will step in to perform for Glen Campbell
at the 87th Academy Awards
next month. McGraw will perform Campbell's song "I'm Not Gonna Miss You," which is nominated in the Best Original Song category at the show. Campbell's family said in a statement, "We are thrilled that Tim McGraw will be singing 'I'm Not Gonna Miss You' on Glen's behalf at the Academy Awards." Campbell co-wrote the song for the documentary Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has extended the Alan Jackson
: 25 Years of Keepin' It Country exhibit through June 21. The exhibit, which was originally scheduled to close in March, highlights the first 25 years Jackson's career and includes his awards, instruments, costumes and personal mementos. To celebrate the extension, the museum will put Jackson's '55 Ford Thunderbird back on display from February 8 to 16. The T-Bird is very special to Jackson and even served as inspiration for his 2002 song "First Love." Alan drove the car throughout high school and his wife, Denise Jackson

Following his debut as host of NBC'sâ¯Saturday Night Liveâ¯over the weekend, Blake is now set to star in the upcomingâ¯Adam Sandlerâ¯filmâ¯Ridiculous 6, according toâ¯The Wrap.â¯Ridiculous 6â¯is a Western spoof that will be Sandler's first of four films announced in his huge deal with streaming service Netflix. Joining Shelton in the all-star cast will be Sandler,Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Vanilla Ice,â¯Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Dan Aykroyd,â¯and many more. Chicago is known for its famous deep dish pizza and hot dogs, but The Windy City will soon be getting a down-home dose of country music. Live Nation Entertainment revealed plans yesterday to launch Chicago's first major country music festival dubbed the Windy City LakeShake. The three-day festival will take place on the city's scenic Northerly Island located on the shores of Lake Michigan. The festival will run from June 19 through 21 and will feature headlining actsâ¯Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Lineâ¯andâ¯Brad Paisley. Set against the iconic backdrop of Chicago's city skyline, the festival will also feature performances byâ¯Frankie Ballard, Easton Corbin, Randy Houser, Maddie and Tae, Kip Moore, Justin Moore, Joe Nichols, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn, and Thomas Rhettâ¯among others.â¯There will also be more acts revealed in the coming weeks.â¯
They say letting your baby listen to classical music when you're pregnant will turn them in to a classical fan later in life, but is the same true for country music?â¯Carrie Underwoodâ¯seems to be putting that hypothesis to the test. Carrie recently revealed that she's been letting her baby listen to music, but only if the tunes meet her criteria. The lineup at Rock The Ocean's Tortuga Music Festival is getting even more star power with the addition of more hot country acts to the roster. Blake Sheltonâ¯was the host and musical guest on NBC'sâ¯Saturday Night Liveâ¯over the weekend, becoming the eighth country star to host the sketch comedy show. In Shelton's opening monologue, he referred to himself as theâ¯Justin Bieberâ¯of country music, saying he's "just a trouble making cutie." Blake also paid homage to his country roots by leading a Hee Haw reenactment during his opening monologue. Blake also starred as the "Farm Hunk" in aâ¯skitâ¯that was an obvious parody of the reality showâ¯The Bachelor. Blake also played himself in aâ¯skitâ¯that featured members ofâ¯The Voiceâ¯competing with members ofâ¯American Idolâ¯on an episode ofâ¯Family Feud.
Mom-to-beâ¯Carrie Underwoodâ¯is using a little ingenuity to make mealtime a little more convenient. The singer took to Twitter recently to reveal that she's found a new use for her baby bump. Carrie shared aâ¯pictureâ¯with her 4 million Twitter followers which shows her resting a bowl of snacks on her pregnant belly. The caption for the photo read, "Pregnancy perk: using my belly as a tabletop for my snacks! Nom nom nom..." Underwood and her husbandâ¯Mike Fisherâ¯are expecting their child, a boy, this spring.
One ofâ¯Brad Paisley'sâ¯fans will have a jam session he'll never forget thanks toâ¯YouTube. The fan is a musician by the nameâ¯Blaze, and he's created song and music video paying homage to Paisley. The song, which Blaze wrote and recorded, is titled "Brad Paisley" and it shows him hanging out with someone who's had Paisley's face superimposed over their own. Centered on the tag line "I wanna jam with Brad Paisley," Blaze's song tells the story of how a musician who grew up influenced by rock groups such asâ¯KISSâ¯started to like country music after hear Brad "tearing it up" on the radio. And, the hard work Blaze put into making the video has not gone unnoticed by the song's subject, who has agreed to jam out with the young musician. Brad took to Twitter recently to say, "Speechless. Obviously, a lot of work went into this. & yessir, I will jam with you. My local @guitarcenter or yours?” There's no word yet on when the two guitarists will jam together.
Lee Briceâ¯checked off a "bucket list" item Saturday (1/24) night when he joinedâ¯Garth Brooksâ¯on stage to sing "More Than A Memory" before a sold out crowd in Boston's TD Garden arena. The song was Lee's first #1 as a songwriter and is the only song inâ¯Billboard'sâ¯radio chart history to debut at #1. Garth later tweeted out a thank you to Brice.

Luke Bryanâ¯held a press conference yesterday morning at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville to reveal his plans for 2015. One of his major announcements was that the Hall of Fame will unveil a new exhibit highlighting special treasures from his career. The exhibit is set to open this May and will run through November.â¯Luke also announced that he will release his seventh Spring Break album on March 10. The album, titledâ¯Spring Break…Checkin'â¯Out, will be Bryan's final album in the Spring Break series and it will be available in stores as well as digitally. He will also return to Panama City Beach for two free shows on March 11 and 12 at Spinnaker Beach Club. These will be Luke's last Spring Break shows in Panama City where last year's concerts brought more than 230,000 fans.
Justin Mooreâ¯was one of the country stars that have responded to the bashing of the Oscar nominatedâ¯American Sniperâ¯movie by such Hollywood heavy weights asâ¯Seth Rogenâ¯andâ¯Michael Moore. Justin took to twitter – much likeâ¯Blake Shelton did – on Tuesday and tweeted, "Little late to the party but wanna say I 100% agree and stand behind @cmorganmusic @blakeshelton @CharlieDaniels in light of recent ignorance shown by some insensitive folks in the public eye. God bless our military for all they do. I'll continue teaching my kids they're all heroes." Later he tweeted, "1 more thing...Id pay to see these people say anything like this to either of my grandpas, and watch the response. Both are veterans...#USA."

While much of the country watchedâ¯President Obamaâ¯give the annual State of the Union address on Tuesday night in our nation's capital, members ofâ¯Lady Antebellumâ¯were in The Lone Star State at different type of political event. The trio was in Austin, Texas on Tuesday to perform at the Texas Inaugural Ball. According to theâ¯Houston Chronicle, Lady A's appearance at the inauguration marked the first time the group had ever performed at a political event. Thousands of people gathered at the Austin Convention Center to celebrate the inauguration of Republican Governorâ¯Greg Abbottâ¯as the 48thgovernor of Texas. The celebration also marked the first inauguration of a governor in Texas in nearly 15 years.

Kenny Chesneyâ¯will celebrate his birthday Nashville style when he kicks off his "The Big Revival Tour" at Bridgestone Arena on March 26. Now due to fan demand that celebration has been extended with yesterday's announcement of a second show at the venue the very next day (March 27). Chesney is eager to get back out in front of his fans after taking a year off of the road, and it seems the fans are equally as excited. Tickets for both Music City shows will go on sale this Friday, and Kenny's just glad he could meet his fan's demands. The tour, which will play at nearly two-dozen NFL-sized stadiums this summer, has dates scheduled through the end of August.â¯â¯â¯â¯â¯
Several celebrities have come to the defense of the new filmâ¯American Sniperâ¯after actorâ¯Seth Rogenâ¯and filmmakerâ¯Michael Mooreâ¯took to Twitter to criticize the film,â¯which tells the story ofâ¯Chris Kyle, the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history. Rogen mocked the film by comparing it to the fictional Nazi propaganda film that appeared in the movie Inglourious Basterds, while Moore tweeted, "My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren't heroes. And invaders r worse.” Following the controversial tweets, several country stars, such asâ¯Craig Morgan, Blake Sheltonâ¯andâ¯Charlie Daniels, joined other celebrities to come to the defense of the film.
