After selling out all three scheduled dates for his upcoming comeback special event at Croke Park in Dublin, Garth Brooks has added a fourth show at the park due overwhelming demand for tickets. The tickets for the first three concerts went on sale just last week and completely sold out after only 90 minutes of going on sale. The concerts, dubbed "The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event", will take place on July 25, 26, 27 and 28, with tickets for the July 28 show going on sale tomorrow (February 6). Garth's upcoming concerts at Croke Park will mark the singer's first shows in Ireland since 1997. Brooks also plans on hitting on the road on a worldwide tour later this year. It's well known in the country music world that Eric Church was kicked off of Rascal Flatts' "Me & My Gang Tour" in 2006 for playing past his prearranged time limit, but what some people may not know is that the hit trio actually gave Eric multiple chances to finish his set on time before they let him go. The guys recently said they asked him four times to stay within his allotted time. The reason they were so adamant was because many venues charge thousands of dollars in labor fees for every minute that the concert goes into overtime. But Eric continued to go long, and the trio finally had to put their foot down. The final straw came after Eric played 20 minutes over his limit at Madison Square Garden in New York City – the first time Rascal Flatts had played at the iconic venue. The trio said, "It was kind of like a middle finger.” But the group insists that there's no beef between them and Eric Church now.
Eric Paslay's single "Friday Night" is perched atop of the country chart this week, giving Eric his first number one song as an artist and his fourth number one as a songwriter. The song appears on Eric's self-titled debut album, which just hit store shelves yesterday (February 4). Paslay co-wrote all of the 11 tracks that appear on the new album including "Friday Night," which he wrote with Rose Falcon and Rob Crosby. Eric's previous chart-toppers as a songwriter include Eli Young Band's "Even If It Breaks Your Heart", Jake Owen's "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" and Love & Theft's "Angel Eyes."
Since the release of his debut album, Write You A Song, on January 14, Jon Pardi has had a break out month and shows no signs of slowing down. Pardi has sold out seven album release shows for his debut effort and has also earned his first Top 10 hit on the chart with his current single "Up All Night." Last week, Jon also made an appearance on the Super Bowl special of The Queen Latifah Show, where performed the song "Up All Night." In addition to joining Dierks Bentley on his "Riser Tour", Pardi will also hit the road for select tour dates with Thomas Rhett beginning this Friday (February 7) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
