There are men living among us who will admit they love watching romantic comedies, or sappy love stories starring RYAN GOSLING
. THOMAS RHETT
is one of them. He says, quote, "Luckily, I'm a big chick flick kind of guy. I don't mind watching Nicholas Sparks
movies like 'Safe Haven'
or 'The Notebook'
or 'A Walk to Remember'
. "It's kinda crazy I know all these titles, but, you know, I'm a fan of those kinds of movies and so it's really easy to sit down and watch those with my wife."

Whether Eric Paslay
is writing a fun party song or a love song, he always tries to convey a message of optimism. Eric tells CMT, "I don't ever want to be an influence of making people feel like life is miserable and awful and you'll never make it. I'm always reaching for the good ending." The songs he writes may be about finding a true love or tearing up the town on a Friday night, but every lyric Paslay puts down on paper is something he can relate to. Eric shares, "We all have a heart and a soul. We're all human. So I think we all know what it feels like to feel this way or that way. There's a truth in every lyric I write." Putting your deepest thoughts and emotions in a song exposes them for the world to hear, but sometimes a song is the perfect place those feelings to be. Paslay says, "It's easy to tell somebody how you feel when it's in a song because you can just say, 'Ah, it's just a song, I made it up…Maybe.'"
