Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town and Zac Brown Band have been added to the already star-studded lineup of performers at The 49th Annual CMA Awards next week. Dierks Bentley is also set to appear during the annual ceremony to give a special performance with electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. These artists join previously announced performers Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, as well as the night's co-hosts, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. The show will also feature one-of-a kind collaborations between Eric Church and Hank Williams, Jr., Thomas Rhett teaming up with rock band Fall Out Boy and Keith Urban performing with John Mellencamp. The 49th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on November 4 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
JASON ALDEAN WRAPS UP "BURN IT DOWN TOUR" IN A BIG WAY
After playing for more than two million fans and selling out numerous stadiums, Jason Aldean brought his "2015 Burn It Down Tour" to a close on Saturday (10/24) with a show at Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida. During the show, which also served as the 10th Annual "Concert for the Cure," Aldean presented over $615,000 to Susan G. Komen South Florida and its mission of supporting those diagnosed with breast cancer and the ultimate goal of finding a cure for the disease. The $615,000 donated to Susan G. Komen South Florida was raised from a portion of ticket sales over the course of the tour. Jason will return to the road in January when he launches his 24-city "We Were Here 2016 Tour" with special guests Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses.
SAM HUNT'S NASHVILLE STREET PARTY IS POSTPONED
Sam Hunt initially planned on holding a street party in downtown Nashville tonight (10/27) to celebrate the remarkable year he's had and to mark the one year anniversary of his debut album, Montevallo, being released, but bad weather has postponed that outdoor show until Wednesday (10/28). The show is now scheduled to take place at 6 PM local time tomorrow. The Sam Hunt Street Party will be presented by Bose. During the past year, Sam has become one of the hottest newcomers in country music, charting three consecutive #1 songs.
AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN’S TOP 10 STORIES OF 2015
Some of this year's biggest country music moments will be highlighted during the American Country Countdown Top 10 Stories of 2015 special, airing December 17 at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. Aside from counting down the Top 10 defining and most talked-about moments of 2015, the one-hour special will also feature in-depth interviews with some of the genre's biggest stars as well as video highlights and performances from several different acts. Some of the artists who will appear in the special include Jason Aldean, Kix Brooks, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood. Additional performers and the show's host will be announced soon. In addition to counting down this year's top moments, the American Country Countdown Top 10 Stories of 2015 special will also honor The Grand Ole Opry’s 90th Anniversary. The show will air as the companion special to the upcoming American Country Countdown Awards, which is scheduled to air in spring of 2016.
