Wednesday night marks the premiere of ABC's new drama, "Nashville."
From Wikipedia: "The series stars Connie Britton as Rayna James, a legendary country music superstar, whose stardom begins fading. Her producers offer her a joint tour with the up-and-comer Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), the young and sexy future of country music. But both singers are pursuing their goals. Juliette wants to take the place of Rayna. Rayna thinks that a few songs written by talented author Scarlett O'Connor (Clare Bowen) will help to revive her success. Rayna's father is Lamar Wyatt (Powers Boothe), a powerful politician in Nashville, who forced her to marry Teddy Conrad (Eric Close), who lives on her money."
You can catch it Wednesday night at 10pm, OR you can watch it right here, right now! Follow the link below to see the whole episode first online!
Yes... the rumors are true... The Weather Channel will start naming winter storms and blizzards this year just as hurricanes are named each year. The first time I heard this, I thought the idea was crazy. But then they made a good point about why they are doing this. I will share that with you in a moment. Here are the names you can expect to hear this winter when you flip over to The Weather Channel:
Hilarious, right?
I mentioned a moment ago that this idea kinda makes sense. And here is why:
Naming a storm raises awareness.
Attaching a name makes it much easier to follow a weather system’s progress.
A storm with a name takes on a personality all its own, which adds to awareness.
In today’s social media world, a name makes it much easier to reference in communication.
A named storm is easier to remember and refer to in the future.
It's that time of the year again. The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are begining to change color, AND we are gearing up for the CMA Awards! I couldn't be happier that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are returning as this year's hosts. Check out the videos below to see how the dynamic duo get prepared for the big night.
Oh yeah... and don't forget to tune in on November 1st for the 46th Annual CMA Awards on ABC.
