Jake Owen is currently on the road bringing the beach life to people all across the country on his "Days of Gold Tour," and now he's teaming up with Discover Boating as the tour's sponsor to make the trek even more water-friendly. During the trek, Jake will share personal stories of his connection with boating and how it creates fun in his life and music. These vignettes will be featured throughout the tour, and as part of Discover Boating's new 2014 "Stories of Discovery" series, which will share real boaters' inspiring stories of their life on the water through documentary-style videos.

Zac Brown Band will launch its upcoming "The Great American Road Trip Tour" next month, and the tour will feature the band's new, eighth member Matt Mangano on bass. Mangano's official addition may be news to everyone, but fans of the group might recognize the bass player from on-stage guest performances over the years and from his studio work on The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1 and Uncaged. "The Great American Road Trip Tour" will kick off in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 24 and will run through August. Kacey Musgraves is also set to join the tour for four shows in Florida in late May and early June. The tour announcement comes on the heels of selling out a two-night stand at Boston's Fenway Park without any supporting acts – a feat that only four other bands have accomplished.

Last year, Kenny Chesney announced that he would be taking a break from the road in 2014 to focus on making his next record. Now, Chesney has given his fans an update on the progress on that new album. Kenny tweeted yesterday, "In studio working on new album. Can't wait for everyone to hear the new music." The message was accompanied by a photo that showed the singer sitting in a chair in front of a studio sound board. (Photo Credit: https://www.facebook.com/KennyChesney )

Remember when BRETT ELDREDGE came through on a promise to jump out of an airplane after his song "Don't Ya" hit Number One? Well, he's at it again. If "Beat of the Music" tops the chart he'll go swimming with SHARKS. He says, quote, "I can't believe I actually might go shark diving. The song's climbing the charts and the more I sweat every day." Don't worry, Brett WILL be using protection. He says, "I need a cage, so if you all know anybody who has a shark cage I could borrow… and I'll need like 20 drinks." By the way, "Beat of the Music" is #13 on "Billboard's" country chart.

After she made a surprise cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live, Taylor Swift headed to Columbus, Ohio on Sunday to crash a fan's bridal shower. The fan's name is Gena Gabrielle, and she had actually met Swift in 2007 at a meet and greet. The bride-to-be took to her Instagram to share several photos of the two of them hanging out together at the shower. But Swift didn't show up at the party empty-handed; she actually came bearing gifts. Gabrielle then posted a picture on Twitter of the new house warming gifts from Taylor. The photo shows several supplies for the couple's kitchen, including utensils, a cooking pot, a KitchenAid stand mixer and even a Barefoot Contessa cookbook by Ina Garten.

Nancy Jones, the wife of the late George Jones, is planning a memorial for him on the one year anniversary of his death. Friends and fans of the late singer are welcome to celebrate his life and legacy at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville on April 26. During the memorial, Nancy will plant two dogwood trees at the "He Stopped Loving Her Today" monument. Nancy said in a statement, "I know how much people loved George, and the love has continued even a year later. I am so fortunate for the friends and fans that George and I made through the years. I want everyone to come celebrate with us, not because he is no longer with us, but to keep his legacy alive." (Photo Credit: http://themindgutter.com/)

The award recognizes their service and commitment to the morale and welfare of military families through the Crown Royal "Your Hero's Name Here" contest and other endeavors. The two were honored on Wednesday night during the 10th annual Congressional Gala in Washington, D.C. Moore said, "Although extremely grateful, I feel a little uncomfortable being honored at an event where there are decorated war heroes present. I feel that my contributions are much less significant than theirs … they are the true American heroes."

Josh Turner is no stranger to signing autographs for fans, but now he'll be signing his name in copies of his first book, Man Stuff: Thoughts on Faith, Family and Fatherhood. Turner's first book signing will take place just outside of Nashville in Franklin, Tennessee at the Lifeway Christian Store on April 22. Dan + Shay's Dan Smyers paid a visit to Nashville's Vanderbilt Medical Center on Tuesday after he broke his wrist in a car accident. Smyer took to Twitter to post a pic of his arm in a cast with a caption that read, "Spent the day at the @VUMChealth Emergency Room after a car accident. Missing my guitar already..." But even with a broken wrist, Dan doesn't plan of missing any shows. He later returned to Twitter to say, "Can't thank you all enough for the texts + tweets about my accident. It seems like everyone wants to know when Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will have a baby. Miranda, too, finds herself thinking about a baby from time to time, and when that happens, she has a good way of getting it off her mind. Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell recently caught up with Lambert on the ACM red carpet and asked her when the couple is going to have a baby. Miranda said in response, "We have a lot of four-legged babies. Every time I think I might be thinking about it, I get a puppy and I'm like, 'Nope, not ready.'" Miranda wants to have a child someday, but she says raising a little one right now just doesn't make sense.

You know that silly movie cliché where someone's foot pops through the ceiling from the floor above? It actually happened to JAMES OTTO. He posted a pic on Facebook and wrote, "I'm an idiot! Was working in the attic and stepped for a beam and missed. Put my foot through the ceiling. Ugh! Anyone good at sheetrock work?" By the way, his temporary fix was white duct tape.

Trisha Yearwood's home in Brentwood, Tennessee is up for sale and is listed at $2.2 million. The Brentwood home is located just south of Nashville and sits on four acres of land. The home boasts more than 6,000 square feet of space, with 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, and a swimming pool. Yearwood made the decision to sell the home because her husband Garth Brooks owns property just north of Nashville and "it doesn't make sense to have all of it." Last month, Yearwood announced that she and Brooks would be moving to Nashville to spend more time in the city.

Rascal Flatts has admitted to lip-syncing their hit single "Rewind" during their performance on Sunday night's ACM Awards. Following their performance, social media was buzzing with claims that Rascal Flatts didn't actually sing the tune, and now the band has issued a statement on Facebook and Twitter. It reads, "After having performed several shows earlier in the week, Gary lost his voice. So, instead of canceling our commitment to do the show, we made a last minute decision to lip-sync. We've never done it before, and we're obviously not very good at it. We look forward to singing live again in the very near future!" The trio will get that chance to sing live this week when they play a show in Laughlin, Nevada on April 12. (Photo Credit: www.musictimes.com)

George Strait helped one Paralympic athlete cross an item off his bucket list recently. Nikko Landeros was a member of USA's ice sled hockey team that won the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. Nikko had accomplished so many things, but one item on his bucket list had eluded him. Nikko desperately wanted to see George in concert before he retired from touring, so he sent the singer a message on Twitter. And King George was happy to grant his request. Strait sent the athlete a reply that read, "There will be two tickets at will call under your name tonight. Thank you for representing our Country!" After the show, Nikko returned to Twitter to thank George for making his dream come true.

On Monday night, Toby Keith was on hand to perform at the television taping for "ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops" in Las Vegas. And while Keith was at the event to pay tribute to those serving in our armed forces, it was actually the troops who were honoring him. After his set, Toby was onstage shaking hands with the service members in attendance when a military officer and USO executive took the microphone to present the singer with the Spirit of the USO Award. They told the audience that Keith had performed 200 shows and entertained more than a quarter of a million troops and their families. The "ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops" will air on May 20 at 9 PM ET on CBS.

Craig Morgan is preparing to make his eleventh overseas tour to entertain U.S. troops serving abroad. Morgan will travel with Armed Forces Entertainment and Stars For Stripes to perform a series of acoustic shows in Southwest Asia this spring. Morgan spent more than 10 years of active duty in the Army and an additional nine years in the Army Reserves, so he knows how much these concerts can mean for the troops serving abroad. In addition to performing for service members overseas, Morgan has also shown his support for the troops and their families through the Folds of Honor and Jack Daniel's Toast To The Troops charities. Morgan will also appear on "ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute To The Troops," which airs on May 20 at 9 PM ET on CBS.

Dierks Bentley is taking fans to 40,000 feet with his brand new single "Drunk On A Plane." Dierks acts as the song's narrator who gets stood up at the alter but finds the strength to forge ahead on a hilarious solo trip to Cancun. Bentley says with a laugh, "I have never been jilted at the altar, but I have had a marriage proposal rejected….all you can do is pray there's a good return policy for the ring, get drunk and carry on." Bentley also says that he's been playing this song at his live shows, and the response from the fans has been very positive.

Taylor Swift recently wished a happy birthday to her friend Abigail Anderson, whom she mentions in her 2009 single "Fifteen." Swift befriended Abigail during their freshman year at a high school in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and the two have remained friends ever since. Taylor sent Abigail several presents and a handwritten note to commemorate her 24th birthday, and Abigail posted a photo of the note on her Instagram, it read, "Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Abigail, whose spirit was as fiery as her hair. She never did anything the way they told her to, fell hopelessly in love, and turned 24 without one single regret. Happy Birthday. Love, Taylor." Even her birthday cards read like songs! All seven dates on the tour have sold out in record speeds. Last night, Lady Antebellum took the stage with Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks to perform their song "Golden" during the ACM Awards. Now, fans can own and listen to their special collaboration together as a version of the song they recorded has just been released on iTunes. "Golden" left a lasting impression on Stevie Nicks, and she couldn't turn down the opportunity to work with Lady A on the song. For Stevie, "Golden" is one of Lady A's defining songs, much like the iconic tune "Landslide" was for Fleetwood Mac. Stevie said, "it's just that spectacular."

It's been over 2 years since Miranda Lambert's last album, Four the Record, was released, leaving everyone itching to hear new music from her. Now, with her fifth studio album, Platinum, set to be released on June 3, Miranda's fans will soon get the chance to hear that new music. And there's a good reason for the gap in between the release of Lambert's last record and her new one. Miranda says she didn't want to rush it at all. And by not rushing her next project, Lambert gave herself time make sure everything on the record was just right.

Jake Owen's English bulldog Merle has been the singer's trusty sidekick since he brought him home four years ago. But now with Jake's growing family, Merle is learning to live with a few adjustments. Owen tells People Country, "Merle doesn't get to ride shotgun anymore, but he's still my main man." Merle may be taking a backseat to Jake's family, but Owen reveals that the dog actually helped him know that his wife Lacey was the one. Jake says, "I could tell a lot about the girl by how much interest she took in Merle. If you don't care anything about my dog, then you really can't care that much about me. My wife fell in love with him the minute she met him, and he loves her. He follows her everywhere." (Photo Credit: www.peoplepets.com)

Dierks Bentley played a show at Nashville's Station Inn on Tuesday night, but it was Bentley's daughters who really stole the show. Five-year-old Evie Bentley along with her younger sister Jordan, 3, took the stage as their father's opening act in their newly formed band called Sandy Bottom Sisters. But the girls couldn't stay to see the whole show because they had to get home in time for bed. The night also included special guest appearances by Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves, with Kacey joining Dierks onstage to perform the Buck Owens' hit "Act Naturally." (Photo Credit: www.cmt.com)

Garth Brooks will return to Ireland this summer to play five sold-out concerts in Dublin's Croke Park. And while most people are looking forward to Garth's first shows in the country for more than 15 years, some residents are protesting the singer's return to the park and recently picketed outside of the stadium to voice their opposition to the concerts scheduled for July 25-29. Members of the Croke Park Residents Alliance say that the concerts will have a negative effect on the area, including increased noise pollution and litter. Following his upcoming shows in Dublin, Brooks will also hit the road on a worldwide tour later this year.

On Tuesday, Scotty McCreery was getting ready to visit the White House alongside his favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox, when a missing pilot derailed those plans. Scotty may have initially thought he was the butt of a bad April Fool's Day prank, but in the end he wasn't laughing. He took to Twitter to vent his frustration. He tweeted, "Woulda been at the White House today to celebrate the Red Sox World Series Championship, but @AmericanAir captain decided not to show up…" In response to Scotty's tweet, American Airlines tweeted, "Our apologies for the inconvenience, Scotty, we'll see if we can help." But Scotty was not in the forgiving mood. Scotty tweeted back, "nope, nothing you can do. Had to be at the White House gates no later than 10:15. No free tix will help this either… thanks…"

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live Sunday night at 8 on CBS. In addition to the show, Stephen and Eric will also perform at the ACM Party For A Cause Festival on Saturday. Songs are often recorded piecemeal. Meaning, a musician or singer will go into the studio alone, or with a couple of other players . . . and then leave it to the tech people to put it all together later. A good example of that is "Highway Don't Care" with Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. Keith played guitar, but he didn't hear the final product until later. He says, quote, "the first time I heard the whole thing completed was on the radio, and it sounded amazing." The song is up for three ACMs: Single Record of the Year, Vocal Event of the Year and Video of the Year. Keith thinks it's funny he's being honored for such a short day's work, saying, "I've never been nominated so much for a guitar solo in my life."
