Locally stationed active duty Marines, Captain Matt Smith and Captain John Ed Auer were selected to play with Lady Antebellum on ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops in honor of Memorial Day.  (Airs Tues. 5/20/14 at 9PM ET on CBS).  They called into More in the Morning and talked with Denny and Christal about the experience.  When asked how they met, here's what they had to say:

October 16, 2014........Looking for a singer/songwriter/musician.........

1.  This Alabama boy's hair went completely grey when he was in his teens.

2.  He taught himself how to play the guitar.

3.  At one point, he was a spokesperson for the Ford Motor Company.  At around the same time, People Magazine called him the "Hottest Bachelor".

In June, 2006, Ford Motor Company signed Hicks to promote Ford's "Drive On Us" year-end sales event.  During the same year, he was named "Hottest Bachelor" by People Magazine,, appearing on the magazine's cover.
