56th GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Hunter Hayes has cancelled his show in St. Louis tonight over concerns that Missouri Governor Jay Nixon declared a state of emergency in the area. Governor Nixon declared a state of emergency on Monday in preparation for an impending grand jury decision over the fatal shooting of unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on August 9. Hayes assures his St. Louis fans that he'll be back in 2015. Hunter took to Twitter to say, "I am so beyond bummed that our show had to be canceled."

Lorrie Morgan will hit the road on an 11-show Christmas tour. The tour will launch on December 3rd in Niagara Falls, New York and will wrap up in Nashville on December 22. The "Lorrie Morgan Enchanted Christmas Show" will feature Lorrie singing her hits along with holiday classics. Morgan shares, "To be able to bring the wonderful music of Christmas to audiences around the country is a dream come true. This is my favorite time of year. I get to think about my children growing up and reminisce my life with my family. I wish all year could be Christmas time!"

Blake Shelton is just the latest singer to weigh in on certain artists pulling their music from Spotify. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, Shelton came to Taylor Swift's defense and said, "I can see why she did that. I don't disagree with her and I know a lot of artists have followed suit." Shelton also said that the revenues that are lost from streaming sites such as Spotify affect more than just the artists who sing the songs. Blake said, "When you look at the numbers, it's easy to say 'That's Taylor Swift — why is she so worried about money?' But when you talk about other writers and songwriters on the album who aren't Taylor Swift, it hits them pretty hard. I don't disagree with her at all."

The Band Perry made a guest appearance on last night's episode of ABC's Nashville. The sibling trio played themselves as they presented the award for "Single of the Year" at the fictional CMA Awards. The trio took the mock CMA Stage with their hit "Done" playing in the background to announce Luke Wheeler and Rayna James as nominees in the category.

The list of performers at the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards has grown with the addition of Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood and Brett Eldredge to the night's lineup. These artists will join previously announced performers Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line and Miranda Lambert at the award show that will take place at Nashville's Music City Center on Monday, December 15. The American Country Countdown Awards will be broadcast live at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. FGL will host the ceremony, based on "American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks," and will honor country biggest stars based on album sales and radio airplay.

Kenny Chesney is speaking out about the songs in country music that objectify women. Chesney says, "Over the last several years, it seems like anytime anybody sings about a woman, she's in cutoff jeans, drinking and on a tailgate -- they objectify the hell out of them." While he admits that he's probably written songs like that, Kenny says he's has a new message that he wants listeners to take away from his songs. One song is "Wild Child," from The Big Revival. Kenny says he wrote the tune about a strong-willed woman who is more independent than what is represented in some of the music today, and it's a duet with Grace Potter, whom Chesney teamed up with on his 2011 song "You and Tequila."

Garth Brooks has always been a very vocal critic about the state of digital music, and now he's applauding big-name artists such as Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift for deciding to pull their music from digital services such as Spotify. Brooks recently told Access Hollywood, "When music starts standing up for itself, it's going to get a lot better." Garth just feels that the artists who put the music out there should getting better compensation for what they are creating. But it isn't just Spotify and iTunes that Garth is taking aim at. He exclaims, "And I'm telling you, the devil – nice people, but YouTube. They claim they pay…people are getting millions and millions and millions of views and they don't get squat. Trust me."

Things heat up pretty fast in the sexy video for Jason Aldean's "Burnin' It Down." From the opening bathtub scene to the couple making their way to the bedroom, Aldean's steamy video leaves no questions about the song's meaning. Jason tells CMT that the video's director actually wanted him to shoot the sexy scenes in the video, but he had to decline because he didn't think it would've gone over too well with his fiancée Brittany Kerr. Aldean says that even when he was pressed by the director to do some of the sexier scenes, he had to say no. Jason says, "I was like, 'Nah, man. I'd be single — again.'"

Rascal Flatts is heading to Las Vegas! The trio has announced that they'll be heading to Sin City in February for a residency at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The group will perform nine shows at the venue that will kick off February 25 and run through March 14.  Tickets for the show start at $39.50 and will go on sale this Friday (November 21).

The weather might be frightful this holiday season, but not if Kenny Chesney has anything to do with it. That's because Chesney's brand-new holiday single "Christmas In Blue Chair Bay" arrives at country radio this week. The song, which is described as "wholly acoustic" and "slightly Calypso," is Kenny's first seasonal song to be released since his album All I Want For Christmas Is A Real Good Tan came out more than a decade ago. He shares, "I was in the mood, especially with the time I've been spending in Barbados with my rum, to try and distill how slow and sweet the holidays in the islands are." The rum Kenny is referring to is his Blue Chair Bay Rum, which is made in authentic beachside distilleries on the island nation of Barbados.

In July, Justin Moore and his wife Kate welcomed their third daughter Rebecca Klein, who joined older sisters Ella Kole, 4, and Kennedy Faye, nearly 3. And Justin admits that the newest arrival is actually pretty vocal, which has caused the singer to lose some sleep. Moore tells Taste of Country, "She's pretty noisy." With all of his young ones under the age of five, Justin says TV time around the house usually consists of children's programming, which can sometimes drive him up the wall. Justin jokes, "Caillou … I'd like to kick him right in the throat."

Chris Young wrapped up a an impressive run in New York City last week with a sold-out headlining show at the Best Buy Theater on Friday. The trip marked Chris' first stop in the city in nearly two years. Young's trip to The Big Apple also included his debut appearance on CBS' Late Show With David Letterman, where he performed his latest hit "Lonely Eyes" from his fourth album, A.M. The singer then made an unannounced appearance at the MLB Fan Cave in Manhattan, surprising several hundred fans with a pop-up show inside the venue. After his trip, Young took to Twitter to share a message that pretty much summed up his visit to NYC. Chris tweeted, "If I haven't made it clear...I love New York. #thatisall."

Brantley Gilbert revealed that he was engaged last month, but just who the singer's new fiancée was remained a mystery –until now! Gilbert recently spilled to People that his wife-to-be is Amber Cochran, a schoolteacher from his hometown he has known for several years. Brantley tells People, "Amber is an amazing person and has inspired a lot of my songs from 'More Than Miles' to 'You Don't Know Her Like I Do' for the last 10 years. I'm a blessed man to have her back in my life and can't wait to make her my wife." There is no word yet on when the couple plans on getting hitched.

Miranda Lambert has a well-known love for dogs which is evident from the small pack of pooches that now live with her and her husband Blake Shelton at their house. Miranda admits that when she's at home there are at least four dogs in the house most of the time --which is enough to drive anyone mad. She says, "I built them their own house, It's one of those pre-fab buildings from Lowe's and we had heat and air put in it, little doggie beds and built them a fence. So they have their own place. I'll let them know when they need to have dog time and off they go."

In a recent interview with Billboard magazine, Kenny Chesney revealed that he took a trip to Italy earlier this year with his current girlfriend. While Chesney didn't reveal his girlfriend's name or where they traveled to, he did say that the two "hung out and drank a little too much red wine." Kenny doesn't divulge details about his personal life often, so his latest revelation came as a shock to some. But even though the star values his privacy, maintaining that secrecy is becoming increasingly harder to do with the modern celebrity culture. Kenny says, "That's why God made boats."

DIERKS BENTLEY brought a couple of girls on stage to join him for his performance of "Drunk On A Plane" last Thursday in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, one was either sick or drunk, because she projectile vomited in front of the whole crowd. Dierks Tweeted about it on Friday, writing, "Last night in Hershey, Pennsylvania was a first:  Projectile vomit on #'DrunkOnAPlane'.  Now known as #PukeOnAPlane.  Good video but reluctant to tweet." He must've thought he was being insensitive, because a few hours later he Tweeted, "Feel bad for the girl last night.  I would love to meet her.  Not sure how to make that happen.  Tell her I hope she's okay if you know her." Scotty McCreery is a strong supporter of the men and women serving in the U.S. Military, paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice with his song "The Dash" on his current album, See You Tonight. McCreery performs this fan-favorite song every night in concert, accompanied by a poignant video created by Josh Carter that highlights the life of U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Andrew Carpenter. In honor of Veterans Day, McCreery has posted the video at his official Facebook page and YouTube site so that his fans can take a moment to remember the men and women who serve.

CMA New Artist of the Year Brett Eldredge, Tennessee Titan Delanie Walker, and representatives of the U.S. Marines were on hand during the taping of CMA Country Christmas on Friday, November 7 to collect toys for children in need. Audience members and Nashville residents alike brought enough new, unwrapped toys to fill 50 Toys for Tots bins, bringing to life the #ShareTheJoy movement.
