Luke Bryan brought his "Kick The Dust Up Tour" to Nashville's Vanderbilt Stadium on Saturday night (7/11) and performed well into the night for the sold-out crowd. With the concert, Luke joins an elite list of musicians who have also sold-out shows at Vanderbilt University's campus stadium, including Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, U2 and Dave Matthews Band. The show also makes Luke the only country act to sell out the stadium and marks his seventh consecutive stadium sell out to date. The show featured a star-studded lineup of performers that also included Dustin Lynch, Thomas Rhett, Randy Houser and Florida Georgia Line and ended with a barrage of fireworks after Luke's final song.
BREAKING THE COUNTRY DROUGHT - KEITH URBAN
On Friday night (7/10), Keith Urban became the first county artist to perform at Canada's Festival De Quebec, breaking a four-decade long country drought at the historic festival. Urban's set lasted 2 hours as he played in front of a crowd that was estimated to be around 70,000 people. The 11-day long festival also recently featured performances by Paul McCartney, Sting, Lady Gaga, Rush and Billy Joel, with The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Doobie Brothers and Iggy Azalea also on the bill.
BRAD'S NEW SIGNATURE GUITAR – BRAD PAISLEY
Brad Paisley was on hand at Artisan Guitars in Franklin, Tennessee, on Saturday night (7/11) when the Santa Cruz Guitar Company introduced the Brad Paisley Signature Model Guitar to a small group of musicians and guitar enthusiasts. After being presented with his guitar for the first time, Brad played a few notes and talked about how special the guitar is. Paisley said, "I've never picked up a Santa Cruz that wasn't magical." Brad worked closely with Santa Cruz to design and personalize his signature guitar, which was built with his preferred customizations for playability, tone and look in mind. The guitar is made with master grade East Indian Rosewood and Bear Claw Sitka Spruce and has an Ebony peg head overlay with custom cowboy hat inlay. The guitar has an introductory retail price of $5,450.
CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL: COUNTRY'S NIGHT TO ROCK
