Taylor Swift was recently granted a restraining order against a man who thinks he's married to the superstar. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Swift filed for a restraining order against Timothy Sweet claiming the man has been stalking her since 2011. The man has allegedly sent Taylor several emails, letters, and social media posts that profess his love for her. One disturbing message from the stalker read, "Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage. Message to John Kerry, Secretary of State. Message from YOUR Presidential Candidate." A judge has since ordered Sweet to remain 100 yards away from Swift and other members of her family.
The performers for the 2014 March Madness Music Festival have just been announced, and this year's lineup will include country superstars Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean. The event will be free and open to the public and will be held at Reunion Park in Dallas, Texas on April 4-6. Additional performers at this year's festival will be announced soon. The 2014 NCAA March Madness Music Festival will be held in conjunction with the 2014 NCAA Men's Final Four college basketball championship. This year, the Final Four will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which is home to the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
Toby Keith recently called on his fans to help him make a big announcement about his upcoming "Shut Up & Hold on Tour". In a mashed up video posted on You Tube, some of Keith's fans are shown saying "Get in, sit down, shut up and hold on," with one fan even singing the words. At the end of the clip, the dates and cities on the headlining trek scroll across the screen, revealing several big market tour stops. The "Shut Up & Hold on Tour" will kick off on May 25 at the Tree Town Music Festival in Iowa and will continue on through the end of September. There will also be more dates added to Toby's upcoming trek, which will again be presented by Built Ford Tough, Ford F-Series Trucks.
To celebrate the 45th anniversary of Merle Haggard's Okie from Muskogee live album being released, Capitol Nashville is set to release a new anniversary edition of the famous record. The Okie From Muskogee Anniversary Edition will hit store shelves on March 25 and will include the recordings from two of Haggard's most iconic live albums. The first disc features recordings from Merle's Okie From Muskogee album, which was recorded live in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1969 and originally released in December of that year. The second disc features recordings from Haggard's rare live album, The Fightin' Side Of Me, which was originally recorded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1970.
