Scotty McCreery and some of his friends were victims of a home-invasion robbery late early yesterday morning in Raleigh, North Carolina. According to a statement released by his record label, three men entered the apartment located near the North Carolina State college campus around 2am. The robbers took cash, wallets and electronic items before fleeing the scene, luckily no one was hurt. One of Scotty’s friends was able to call 911 and told the operator, "They took everything we have. They were like, 'Get down. Get on the floor and give us everything you got.'" The caller said the robbers told the group to count down from 100 before they were allowed to get up.  Scotty posted on Facebook: "Yes, it was definitely a very scary night. Luckily, my friends and I are safe and the Raleigh PD is on the case.” (Photo Credit:

Jason Aldean's first weekend on his brand new "2014 Burn It Down Tour" is a successful one as he left the east coast blazing from a sold out opening run of his headlining this weekend in Roanoke, VA; State College, PA and Atlantic City. The Roanoke Times wrote the "party that included pyrotechnics and a massive light show" also features special guests Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr and continues with 45 additional stops through the end of the year. With great reviews the tour continues this weekend with a two-night run in Birmingham and next weekend with a three-night residency in Atlanta. This summer, the tour will hit already sold out baseball stadiums in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh, as well two sold out nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Everyone knows all about Thomas Rhett's dad Rhett Akins and how he was a country hit maker in the 1990's and remains one of Nashville's top songwriters today. But we don't hear much about Thomas' mom. Well, as Mother's Day approaches this weekend, Rhett talks about his mom, who he says he shares many qualities with: "I wear my emotions all over my sleeve. I mean, if I’m mad, you’re gonna know it. If I’m happy, you’re gonna know it. If I have a problem with you, you’re gonna know it. That’s how my Mom has always been and it’s a trait that I wish I did not have. I wish I had more of a poker face about life, but my Mom is a saint, I wish I had more of her just saintness characteristic. She would never hurt a fly and she raised me right and so I love my Mom. She’s been a really great influence in my life."
