Brad Paisley wrapped up the last dates on his "Beat This Winter Tour" over the weekend with shows in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Dayton, Ohio and Charleston, West Virginia. During his stop in Charleston, Brad, a West Virginia native, was honored backstage by being presented the Distinguished West Virginian Award. The Distinguished West Virginian Award was created to honor those who have contributed significantly to West Virginia or those who have brought positive attention to the state. The award is the highest honor that can be awarded by the Governor and it distinguishes those who excel in their field and have achieved national recognition.

Dee Jay Silver is officially off the market. The country DJ/producer popped the question this past Thursday to his fiancée Jenna Michelle Straub while on out tour with Brad Paisley in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The happy couple appreciates all the love and well wishes they have received. There's no word yet on when the big day will be. DJ Silver will head to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico later this week to perform at the Riviera Maya Hard Rock Hotel. His first scheduled performance there will take place this Friday (March 7).   (Photo Credit:
Kacey Musgraves released her debut studio album, Same Trailer Different Park, last March, and in the 12 months that have followed a lot more people have taken notice of the 25-year-old Texas native. But it hasn't just been the fans paying more attention to Kacey's music; the industry has also recognized her work by honoring her with a CMA Award for New Artist of the Year at last year's ceremony and two Grammys at this year's award show. Kacey has also been turning heads with the lyrics in some her songs, which touch on hot button issues such as homosexuality and smoking marijuana. And while these lyrics may upset some people out there, Kacey says she doesn't plan on changing what she sings about.

One of the tracks on David Nail's new album, I'm A Fire, is a cover of Glen Campbell's classic tune "Galveston." For David, putting this song on the record was a way to pay homage to one of his favorite singers. David's version of the "Galveston" features vocals by Lee Ann Womack, a singer who Nail thinks is a perfect fit for the song. He says, "Of all the people I've had the chance to get to know, Lee Ann probably has the strongest appreciation for the history of country music.”

Today's More's Mystery

December 16, 2014......Looking for a city........

1.  It's the capitol of it's state.

2.  This might surprise you.  At one point, it was the largest lumber market in the United States.

3.  Perhaps that's why the Iroquois referred to it as "the place through the pine woods".

Answer:  Albany, New York

By 1865, there were almost 4,000 saw mills in the Albany area and the Albany Lumber District was the largest market in the nation.
