Blake Shelton has broken his own record and made history once again with his 12th consecutive number one single "My Eyes," featuring Gwen Sebastian. Marking the most consecutive number ones in monitored country airplay history, "My Eyes" is his 17th number one overall and fifth single off his Grammy-nominated album Based on a True Story.... Shelton made history earlier this year when "Doin' What She Likes," originally broke the record, as his 11th number one single in a row. "My Eyes," one of Shelton's fastest rising singles to date, raced to the top of the chart in only 11 weeks.

Dolly Parton realized a dream this week with her performance at England's Glastonbury Festival, one of the biggest events on the summer calendar. Parton's first performance there was a big success playing for a crowd estimated at 150,000 people. Dolly was honored prior to her performance with a plaque commemorating sales in excess of 100 million. She said, "I’ve been so busy making records for the past several decades, I didn’t realize I had racked up so many sales."

Jon Pardi told a Pennsylvania radio station this week about a stabbing incident that happened to him when he was 18. He shared, "There’s a seven inch scar across my stomach. I just got in a fight, and I ended up getting him, and he pulled out a knife … I got (stabbed) three times in the stomach, and two little slashes on my arms." Pardi says that his attacker got four months in jail after being convicted of a felony, but his emotional and physical healing took much longer. Jon later wrote a song inspired by the incident called "What I Can’t Put Down," which will be his new single.

Miranda Lambert hosted a sock hop party in Nashville Monday night to celebrate her latest #1 hit, "Automatic."  Miranda dressed in a '50s theme, wearing a pink, vintage dress and sporting a shorter, shoulder-length hairstyle. During the presentation, Miranda shared the stage with her "Automatic" co-writers, Natalie Hemby and Nicolle Galyon, and thanked all the people who helped her take the song to #1.  Next up, Miranda hits the road on her Platinum tour next month. She posted an artist rendering of her elaborate new stage set on Instagram Monday. (Photo Credit: www.twitter.com/mirandalambert )
