During Sunday night's broadcast of the ACM Awards, George Strait took the stage with the president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, to announce that the next year's 50th Anniversary of the Academy of Country Music Awards will be held AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan will return to co-host the event, which will be broadcast live on April 19, 2015 on CBS. The ceremony will cap off three days of events, including the 3rd annual ACM Party for a Cause: 50 Years of Music & Memories on April 17-18 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

Dierks Bentley is taking fans to 40,000 feet with his brand new single "Drunk On A Plane." Dierks acts as the song's narrator who gets stood up at the alter but finds the strength to forge ahead on a hilarious solo trip to Cancun. Bentley says with a laugh, "I have never been jilted at the altar, but I have had a marriage proposal rejected….all you can do is pray there's a good return policy for the ring, get drunk and carry on." Bentley also says that he's been playing this song at his live shows, and the response from the fans has been very positive.

Toby Keith has been hosting his annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic for more than ten years, and the event will return again this year. The 11th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic benefits OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home-away-from-home for pediatric cancer patients, and is the largest event The Toby Keith Foundation hosts. The two day event will take place on May 16-17 and will feature a live auction, nearly 100 silent auction items, food, entertainment, and a celebrity filled round of golf. Some of the items up for auction include an African safari, and autographed items from celebrities such as Derek Jeter, Dan Marino, Nolan Ryan, Phil Mickelson, Jimmy Buffett, Jason Aldean, George Strait and many more. The next day, 200 golfers will hit the links with the many celebrities who are attending the event.

Taylor Swift recently wished a happy birthday to her friend Abigail Anderson, whom she mentions in her 2009 single "Fifteen." Swift befriended Abigail during their freshman year at a high school in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and the two have remained friends ever since. Taylor sent Abigail several presents and a handwritten note to commemorate her 24th birthday, and Abigail posted a photo of the note on her Instagram, it read, "Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Abigail, whose spirit was as fiery as her hair. She never did anything the way they told her to, fell hopelessly in love, and turned 24 without one single regret. Happy Birthday. Love, Taylor."  Even her birthday cards read like songs!
