Brad Paisley told Fox News why he mocked the Westboro Baptist church on Twitter recently when they picketed outside of one of his concerts. He said, "My patriotism starts there. We're talking about, I think everyone can agree — except maybe Westboro Baptist — on the fact our soldiers are our most important, the most amazing people that we've had." Paisley recently traveled to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan with President Obama and the experience was still fresh when the son of a veteran encountered protesters outside his show June 1. Brad took a selfie while making a face with protesters in the background and posted it to Instagram with a mildly profane caption that mocked the church. (Photo Credit: www.nydailynews.com )

Miranda Lambert was thrilled when she learned that her Platinum album topped both the Billboard Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart becoming the only country artist in the 50-year history of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart to have each of her first five albums debut at #1. With 180,000 albums sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Platinum marks a 35% increase in sales over her previous album release. All four of her prior albums have been certified platinum. She said when she heard, "THANK YOU to the music lovers who believe in albums and spent your hard-earned money on 16 songs! I’m the luckiest girl in the world, blessed with the best fans!"

Kacey Musgraves, will perform the television debut of her tune, "The Trailer Song" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight on NBC. The following night (Friday, June 13) pop-superstar Katy Perry and Musgraves will join together in an all-new episode of the critically acclaimed series, CMT Crossroads, which will premiere at 10 PM ET on CMT. The show marks the 50th episode of the longest-running music series of the network and will feature exclusive collaborations of the stars’ hits, including Perry’s "Roar" and "Teenage Dream," and Musgraves' "Follow Your Arrow" and "Merry Go ‘Round." Kacey is currently on tour with Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss and in August she will hit the road with Katy on her "Prismatic World Tour."

Jon Pardi received a plaque celebrating his first RIAA Gold record for "Up All Night" on Sunday before taking the stage at Riverfront Park for the final day of CMA Music Fest. "Up All Night" was written by Pardi, Bart Butler and Brett Beavers, was the first Top 10 earned by the rising country star.

September 14, 2014...........Looking for a singer/actor........

1.  Before this multiple Grammy Award-winner became a singer/actor, he was a radio dee jay.

2.  He is still another example of a pretentious singer who goes by only one name.

3.  We have to assume he is not a big fan of Fox News..............Bill O'Reilly in particular.

Answer:  Ludacris

In August, 2002, political pundit Bill O'Reilly called for all Americans to boycott Pepsi products.  Ludacris was a spokesperson for Pepsi.  O'Reilly said Ludacris' lyrics glamorized a "life of guns, violence, drugs and disrespect of women".  The next day, O'Reilly reported that Pepsi had fired Ludacris.
