Carrie Underwood appeared on NBC's Today show Friday morning, where she announced that on December 9, she'll be releasing her very first hits collection, titled Greatest Hits:

Decade #1. Carrie's album — with a final track listing to be announced — will pull from her 18 number-one hits and also include new material, which kicks off with today's release of the first single, a song that she co-wrote called "Something in the Water."

While playing his concert in Louisville, Kentucky last week, 
Eric Church announced in a roundabout way that he and his wife Katherine are expecting their second child.

Church launched into"Sinners Like Me," and sang a slight lyric change in the second portion of the song. Where he normally sings, "Give my dad a grandson," he sang instead, "Give my dad another grandson." Eric and his wife already have one son, Boone McCoy, born back in 2011 and now a rep confirms that the Church family is growing by one. No due date was mentioned.

Lady Antebellum
 is gearing up for the release of its fifth studio album, 747, in stores tomorrow. The trio will kick-off the week with a three song performance on NBC's Today (9/30) followed by an intimate performance at the Gramercy Theater that night for a Yahoo! live stream event starting at 8 PM ET. The Swon Brothers – Zach and Colton – are heading to New York City for a return performance on NBC's Today show on October 13. The appearance comes one day prior to the release of the duo's self-titled Arista Nashville album, featuring their Top-15-and-climbing debut single, "Later On." The S
wons will also be in the Big Apple to play songs from their new album today (9/29) to kick-off Nashville's New Music in New York. In celebration of the Grand Ole Opry's birthday and Country Music Month, both in October, the Opry and Southwest Airlines are returning to New York City for a second annual series of free acoustic performances at the Southwest Porch at Bryant Park. As part of the experience, the artists will travel to Manhattan with the Opry's signature microphone stand and a replica of the famed circle of wood from center stage at the Opry House.

Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard proposed to longtime girlfriend Hayley Stommel on Monday (9/21). Hubbard and Stommel went on a helicopter ride over Nashville Monday night and that's where Tyler popped the questions to which she quickly said "Yes." Hubbard and his new bride-to-be both posted photos of the event on their Instagram accounts. No word yet on when the pending nuptials will be. Stommel is a 26-year-old Idaho native. Scotty McCreery has extended his "See You Tonight Tour" into the fall, with special guest Danielle Bradbery and will bring it to Toyota Oakdale in Wallingford, Connecticut, on Thursday, December 4, for a special 12.14 Foundation Benefit Concert. McCreery serves as a National Goodwill Ambassador for the Newtown -based foundation. In conjunction with this show and Live Nation Concerts, McCreery will also host a VIP pre-show party to benefit the foundation as well. Since the 2012 shooting tragedy which devastated the town and shocked the nation, McCreery has made multiple visits to Newtown to meet with families there.

Kip Moore is kicking off his headlining "CMT On Tour 2014: Up In Smoke" tomorrow (9/25) with a sold-out show at New York's Best Buy Theatre. Advance sell outs are stacking up including the stops in Nashville, Boston, Minneapolis and a two night stand in Chicago. Kip will hit over 20 cities through November and is bringing newcomers Charlie Worsham and Sam Hunt along for the ride.

Little Big Town's sixth-studio album Pain Killer is available for pre-order now at all digital retailers. Pain Killer, which features current hit single "Day Drinking," is set for release on October 21. When purchased through iTunes or Amazon, buyers will receive "Day Drinking" as an instant download. The band is also releasing The "Pain Killer" Game on their website on fans can unlock 90 seconds of each track from the new album when completing levels by killing viruses with color-coded pill capsules thrown by the members of LBT.

On Friday (9/19), during a press conference before he kicked of his Atlanta, Georgia shows, Garth Brooks confirmed that his upcoming all original album will be available on November 11. The album will be released on Pearl/RCA Nashville and will feature his current single, "People Loving People." Fans can pre-order the album at and In addition to the album, fans can order an additional mega bundle including all eight iconic studio albums digitally updated, the new double live 25th Anniversary Edition featuring 30 songs along with 30 videos, an instant download of the new single, "People Loving People" and the bonus track, "Send 'Em On Down The Road."

Zac Brown tells Billboard this week that his Southern Ground Artists record label has three new label partnerships. The label has been independent for the last year, but Brown announced new partnerships with Universal's John Varvatos Records, Big Machine Label Group and Republic Records. The deal will include all of the artists signed to Southern Ground Artists, as well as future Zac Brown Band albums.

Kenny Rogers talks about him and Dolly Parton's first CMA nomination since the 1980's for Musical Event of the Year for their duet, "You Can't Make Old Friends." He says, "Whether we win or not, it was an event for me being back together with my good friend. I have great respect for everyone in this category, and there's no way you can lose being in that group." Other nominees in the category include Vince Gill and Paul Franklin's "Bakersfield", Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's "Meanwhile Back at Mama's," "Somethin' Bad" from Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood and Lambert and Keith Urban on "We Were Us." Aaron Lewis is safe after a private charter jet he was a passenger on was disabled, causing a flight cancellation. After filming a segment for his TV show On The Road for the Sportsman's Channel, an error caused the Cessna to veer off the taxiway and become stuck in mud, prohibiting the safe continuation of the flight. Lewis said, "I'm so glad that we are safe; however, I am really sorry that the fans in Tulsa were disappointed and let down with me not making tonight's show. I promise I'll be back to Tulsa soon."

All five nominees for the CMA's Entertainer of the Year honor for 2014 are the first performers announced for The 48th Annual CMA Awards. Three-time nominee Luke Bryan, nine-time nominee Miranda Lambert, three-time nominee Blake Shelton, and four-time nominee Keith Urban are all scheduled to perform during Country Music's Biggest Night. Hosted for the seventh consecutive year by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 5 on ABC.

Luke Bryan took his "That's My Kind of Night Tour" to New York this past weekend, making his second appearance this year in Manhattan's iconic Madison Square Garden on Friday night and Brooklyn's Barclays Arena Sunday night, selling out both concert stops. During the Madison Square Garden show on September 12, Luke paid homage to September 11th performing an impromptu "Star-Spangled Banner" with opener Lee Brice. The rendition left the crowd speechless through the song but chanting "U.S.A.," "U.S.A." when it ended. Meanwhile, a second concert in Los Angeles was just added to the calendar at the Forum on October 26, which now closes out for the tour for 2014. Bryan plays the Hollywood Bowl, for his first time, on October 25.

Darius Rucker will release his first Christmas album, Home For The Holidays, on October 27. With 12 tracks, the new project will include holiday classics as well as two Rucker originals, "Candy Cane Christmas" and "What God Wants For Christmas." Special guest Sheryl Crow will join Darius for the holiday standard "Baby It's Cold Outside."

Jason Aldean has started to talk about what everyone has been talking about when CMA nominations were revealed not long ago and Aldean didn't get a single nomination. He told Rolling Stone Country, "It's frustrating, man. But at the same time, I don't know how…what do you do? Things like that are out of your hands." Aldean's fans have been in an upheaval about the snub and even Jason's father Facebooked about it calling the CMA "fools."

For those people that happened to walk into a California Pizza Hut recently and saw a guy that looked a lot like Blake Shelton named "Stephen" taking orders, they weren't crazy it really was Blake. Most people knew it was him right away and didn't even argue with "Stephen" and posed for pictures with one lady telling him that she and her son were going to his concert in a few nights. It's where Carrie Underwood broke down in tears in Nashville on Tuesday night - the ACM honors - where she was awarded with a special honor and The Swon Brothers sang in tribute to her. The Academy of Country Music's 8th Annual ACM Honors was full of stars in an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The evening included a mix of live music, historical video retrospectives and current video tributes and interviews with industry veterans honoring Special Awards. Other highlights of the night included Dierks Bentley performing "Love's Gonna Live Here", and Dwight Yoakam performing a medley of "My Heart Skips a Beat," "Cryin Time," "Together Again" and "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail" all in tribute to Buck Owens.

As if Garth Brooks didn't have enough to do while in Chicago playing 11 sold out shows, he still found time to serve those less fortunate. Garth spent time with 150 children at Elk Grove High School on Saturday as part of his Teammates for Kids Foundation. The foundation, along with the company ProCamps, hosted a Teammate ProCamp, with children from the Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army and the Oasis Trailer Park all participating. Co-hosted by University of Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self, the day included basketball drills, hands-on help from athletes and coaches and time to ask Brooks and Self questions. Brooks plans to host a Teammates ProCamp in each of the cities on his tour.

At press time, there's no news on the birth of Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood and his wife Kelli's first child. Last night (9/7), Lady Antebellum had to cancel their show in Allegan, Michigan at the Allegan Country Fair so that Dave could rush home to be next to his wife and it seemed the baby was coming a bit early. Their website shows nothing, but die-hard fans are tweeting and anxiously waiting on the news of the new arrival. Blake Shelton found out about his three CMA nominations from his wife Miranda Lambert, who called him with the news last week while the couple were together in New York City. Blake told People, "She got up early and went some place out of the city to ride horses and on her way she found out about the nominations and called me. I said, 'What did I get?' And she told me two or three things. Then I said, 'Well, what did you get?' and she said, 'Oh, nine.' The 48th Annual CMA Awards airs live November 5 on ABC.

Josh Turner announced over the weekend that he and his wife Jennifer are now the proud parents of four. Joining big brothers Hampton, Colby and Marion, Samuel Hawke Turner came in weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. and measuring 20.5 inches. Turner said, "God has truly blessed Jennifer and me with this healthy little boy. We are so thankful and excited to see our family grow yet again."

Kenny Chesney's brand new album The Big Revival will also be a ZinePak, a custom magazine to pair with CD releases, to produce an exclusive package that combines editorial to deepen the musical experience of Kenny's 15th album. Many country stars were saddened by the death of legendary comedian Joan Rivers yesterday and took to Twitter to talk about it. Dolly Parton was sad enough to release an official statement about the passing. Parton said, "Though her death is no laughing matter, her life was nothing but. Carrie Underwood announced yesterday (Labor Day) that she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child. Underwood shared her happy news posting a photo of herself with her two dogs, Ace and Penny, who had on "big brother" and "big sister" shirts. Carrie tweeted, "In honor of "Labor" Day... Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!" Several country stars took to twitter to congratulate the happy couple including Brad Paisley and Scotty McCreery. Kenny Chesney took the stage Friday night at Athens' Georgia Theatre, where he performed a surprise pop-up concert for an extremely small crowd of around 500 fans. The concert is the first installment of CMT's new Instant Jam series and premieres Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. With a handful of posters going up in the late morning and flyers distributed in downtown Athens, there was a frenzy to score one of the 500 wristbands allotted for the show, which went on for over two hours. With distribution at one of the University of Georgia's sorority houses, they were gone in less than 8 minutes.

Taylor Swift will be joining Blake Shelton and the other coaches on Season 7 of The Voice on NBC this year as a mentor. Swift will be working alongside mainstay coaches Adam Levine and Shelton, as well as newcomers Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. Taylor is expected to mirror what Coldplay's Chris Martin did during season 6 when he advised contestants across all four teams. Meanwhile, each respective team also has their own mentors. Team Adam will get some help from the legendary soul singer Stevie Wonder while Team Blake will be joined by Little Big Town.

TMZ is reporting that while Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas has been trying to fill the spot vacated by Celine Dion who took time to spend with her husband who is ill, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were offered a whopping million dollars to play one three hour show on a weekend at the Coliseum and the couple turned it down. It's reported that the country power couple counter offered 1.2 million and the famous strip venue said no.
