Miranda Lambert
Miranda Lambert made quite an appearance over the weekend at the 2014 Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday. Lambert walked the red carpet in a matching knee-length dress and accessorized with a simple ribbon hat. Us Weekly reported that she added a touch of red lip and topped off the look with cranberry heels and a small clutch. While Lambert didn't do interviews on the red carpet, she did turn heads with her new slimmer figure after losing close to thirty pounds. In L.A. in January, Miranda said of her new figure, "This is not a diet, this is my new life." (Photo Credit:  www.bigstory.ap.org )

Kenny Chesney will be playing a show on May 17 at the House Of Blues in New Orleans by request of his famous buddies Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. All proceeds from the show go to McConaughey’s charity Just Keep Livin’ Foundation and Brees’ charity The Brees Dream Foundation. Kenny says, "Now other people will benefit from all of us getting together in the name of songs — and remembering all the things that music makes us feel. That just makes something so fun worth so much more.”

Dolly Parton has always been pretty frank with her thoughts on a lot of issue and one issue she recently spoke out on was same-sex marriage. She told Britain's Event magazine, "I think everyone should be with who they love. I don’t want to be controversial or stir up a bunch of trouble but people are going to love who they are going to love. I think gay couples should be allowed to marry. They should suffer just like us heterosexuals." Dolly has been married to her husband Carl Dean for almost 50 years, and her new studio album, Blue Smoke, will be in stores and available online on May 13th.

Brantley Gilbert's release week for his upcoming album Just As I Am is expected to be a big one and his record label is pulling out all the stops as Gilbert is partnering with Harley-Davidson and Folds Of Honor for a motorcycle ride from Athens, GA to Arlington, VA May 21-26. Brantley will perform at several locations, concluding with a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. A bus accompanying him will be wrapped with graphics featuring names fans submitted of those who gave their lives in military service. Gilbert's new album Just As I Am is out May 19.
