All five nominees for the CMA's Entertainer of the Year honor for 2014 are the first performers announced for The 48th Annual CMA Awards. Three-time nominee Luke Bryan, nine-time nominee Miranda Lambert, three-time nominee Blake Shelton, and four-time nominee Keith Urban are all scheduled to perform during Country Music's Biggest Night. Hosted for the seventh consecutive year by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 5 on ABC.

Luke Bryan took his "That's My Kind of Night Tour" to New York this past weekend, making his second appearance this year in Manhattan's iconic Madison Square Garden on Friday night and Brooklyn's Barclays Arena Sunday night, selling out both concert stops. During the Madison Square Garden show on September 12, Luke paid homage to September 11th performing an impromptu "Star-Spangled Banner" with opener Lee Brice. The rendition left the crowd speechless through the song but chanting "U.S.A.," "U.S.A." when it ended. Meanwhile, a second concert in Los Angeles was just added to the calendar at the Forum on October 26, which now closes out for the tour for 2014. Bryan plays the Hollywood Bowl, for his first time, on October 25.

Darius Rucker will release his first Christmas album, Home For The Holidays, on October 27. With 12 tracks, the new project will include holiday classics as well as two Rucker originals, "Candy Cane Christmas" and "What God Wants For Christmas." Special guest Sheryl Crow will join Darius for the holiday standard "Baby It's Cold Outside."

Jason Aldean has started to talk about what everyone has been talking about when CMA nominations were revealed not long ago and Aldean didn't get a single nomination. He told Rolling Stone Country, "It's frustrating, man. But at the same time, I don't know how…what do you do? Things like that are out of your hands." Aldean's fans have been in an upheaval about the snub and even Jason's father Facebooked about it calling the CMA "fools."

For those people that happened to walk into a California Pizza Hut recently and saw a guy that looked a lot like Blake Shelton named "Stephen" taking orders, they weren't crazy it really was Blake. Most people knew it was him right away and didn't even argue with "Stephen" and posed for pictures with one lady telling him that she and her son were going to his concert in a few nights. Shelton of course advertises in Pizza Hut's national commercials. (Photo Credit: )

As if Garth Brooks didn't have enough to do while in Chicago playing 11 sold out shows, he still found time to serve those less fortunate. Garth spent time with 150 children at Elk Grove High School on Saturday as part of his Teammates for Kids Foundation. The foundation, along with the company ProCamps, hosted a Teammate ProCamp, with children from the Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army and the Oasis Trailer Park all participating. Co-hosted by University of Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self, the day included basketball drills, hands-on help from athletes and coaches and time to ask Brooks and Self questions. Brooks plans to host a Teammates ProCamp in each of the cities on his tour.

September 14, 2014...........Looking for a singer/actor........

1.  Before this multiple Grammy Award-winner became a singer/actor, he was a radio dee jay.

2.  He is still another example of a pretentious singer who goes by only one name.

3.  We have to assume he is not a big fan of Fox News..............Bill O'Reilly in particular.

Answer:  Ludacris

In August, 2002, political pundit Bill O'Reilly called for all Americans to boycott Pepsi products.  Ludacris was a spokesperson for Pepsi.  O'Reilly said Ludacris' lyrics glamorized a "life of guns, violence, drugs and disrespect of women".  The next day, O'Reilly reported that Pepsi had fired Ludacris.
