Braden Smith

Ramblin's from the guy you hear on the radio!

Hey it's Braden, catch up with me weekday afternoons from 3pm-7pm. We'll talk country music, country people, life in Fredericksburg, fun stuff, traffic, and weather. Plus I always have tons of FREE stuff to giveaway. See you then!

A little about me... I grew up in Maryland, so bring on the crab cakes and football anytime! GO RAVENS! I started in broadcasting when I was in high school. But I didn't start out in radio... my first broadcasting job was as a weatherman on a local cable station. I spent almost 5 years bouncing around to a couple tv stations, and it eventually landed me in Fredericksburg. I was even offered a job one time at a CBS station! I always had a passion for weather, so it was a great career for me. I was one of the National Weather Service's youngest weather spotters and members of their Storm Survey Team. I studied Broadcast Meterology at Mississippi State University. So how did I get into radio? I started working part-time at Thunder 104.5 on the weekends when I moved to Fredericksburg. When I had a chance to make it a full-time career, I couldn't pass it up! My radio journey has been more fun than I ever imagined. And I have had the chance to do some amazing things and meet some amazing people. And it only keeps getting better!

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson and professional baseball starAdam LaRoche have already teamed up as co-owners of the outdoor and hunting lifestyle business Buck Commander, but now these members of the Buckmen brethren are entering a new venture together.

The aforementioned Buckmen along with Jeff LaRoche and Andy LaRoche have opened a chophouse in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The restaurant is named the E3 Chophouse and is located on the scenic banks of the Yampa River next to several premiere spots for skiing, mountain biking and fly-fishing.

And if the E3 name sounds familiar, you might have seen it at one of Luke's live shows. A message on the chophouse's website says, "Bryan is indeed responsible for rocketing the E3 logo to fame after wearing his signature E3 logo hat to his many award shows and sold-out concerts."

E3's menu boasts a variety on quality foods that range from the "Buttermilk Fried Quail" appetizer for just $10 to the USDA Certified Black Angus "Porterhouse for 2" steak listed at $62. The all-natural beef served at the E3 Chophouse comes directly from the LaRoche family-owned E3 Ranch, located in Fort Scott, Kansas. The ranch prides itself on raising hormone, steroid and antibiotic-free E3 Black Angus cattle.
